Barton, SOI... Am I missing something?

I don't see who to contact. None of these seems to be appropriate. Two or three years ago, there was an e-mail provided with each press release at AMD, but it seems that it's no longer the case.

Woooo! Great work guys, we managed to build a small gap (252 units) between us and Team Pfeffer. It the first day in maybe a week that we process more units than they do. The war isn't over, we might be able to resist!

Barton, SOI... Am I missing something?

That was supposed to be a joke, but apparently, you guys really want me to try? How the hell does an editor is supposed to sound? (browsing old e-mails from Eugene and Davin) I'll try, but don't expect anything. I'll send the message tomorow morning. It wouldn't be serious to send a formal...

Barton, SOI... Am I missing something?

I dunno what it means HD. Maybe I should think about buying a crystal ball someday for cases like this one. Do you think their PR bullshitters...Errr, marketing people, would answer if I would send them an e-mail and present myself as a hardware site editor (actually, just semi-co-webmaster of...

    The Sinister Microsoft

Revolting. I have to learn how to use Linux more than I currently do. Bunch of bastards. This should be a lesson to all the clueless pro-capitalist ignorants out there. Capitalism is NOT a good economical system and yes, there are alternative. Only thing lacking is will to change for the...

My computer is in bad shape

The only definition in which a Radeon 7000 (which is, I repeat, none other than a Radeon VE) can reach 90FPS in Quake III is at 640x480. I admit the review at Anandtech is dating a bit, but ATI hasn't produced drivers able to double the frame rates at 800x600 or above since then for that card...

    Trouble-free video card

Ahhh, the Virge. First and only 3D graphic decelerator ever produced... The Trio was a decent card though. And it is compatible with everything AFAIK. I never crossed an OS than didn't have drivers for the Trio. The S3 Trio is like the Toyota Tercel of the graphic card world. Not...

My computer is in bad shape

You are talking about the Radeon 7000 (sometimes called Radeon VE). Among ATI's lineup, it's the card with the worst 2D quality. Its RAMDAC is 300MHz instead of 350MHz and the filtering circuit isn't as elaborate as on the other Radeon, resulting in 2D quality better than the pre-Titanium...

Tax Day folks! Made out your check yet?

I've been paying 52% tax on my earnings for quite a while. But then again, Québec is probably the most taxed territory in North America. Here, you have to take RRSP if you don't want to work mostly for the government. Lucky Americans, only 37% tax maximum. If you would only learn to speak...

    Trouble-free video card

Dunno for Tony, but I don't really keep a list of the graphic cards that worked well for me. When I have to build a system for my customers, I go with what I feel would be the best for them at the moment. And since I'm almost the only one person I know who upgrades/installs drivers (unless I...

    Trouble-free video card

Shamefully, there are still (or until very recently) a few major OEMs as well as a lot of Mom&Pop shops that put TNT2 (often M64!) in their current system configurations. Totally shameful, but nonetheless true.

    Trouble-free video card

That's probably because of the impressive amount of juice these cards draw from the AGP slot. I remember it caused many issues with several motherboards at the time. 2D was also sub par. I have very few complains about NVIDIA cards since they rose the reference design for their Titanium line...
