I'm glad they're finally getting affordable. Which really means that we'll be getting 5TB drives any day now.

It seems to be quite slow for 1TB/platter drive. :( Is that normal?

I guess this is the same drive. Mine was made in China (4/2013), not the Thailands. :( Perhaps that is why it was cheap.

Am I missing anything or is there no Seagate 4TB 7200 drive other than the consecration? :(

I guess you meant "Constellation"? There are others : ST4000DM000 (standard Barracuda) and ST4000VN000 (their NAS drive).

Oh, my bad. Those two are 5900rpm, not 7200rpm.
