SSDrueding, you simply started to compute big units. Those are worth more than 60K points when completed within the preferred deadline (which you did). They take ~3 days to complete. That's why you have a lot of points on certain days and not so many on others. I have three computers doing big units full time. Just look at my graph and you'll see what it's like.

Bardwick is right : Extreme Overclockers' stats page is updated far more frequently than XCPU's. On the other hand, XCPU keeps a longer history of stats than EXOC.

If I can just stop grabbing my ass, we have chances to achieve 6 million points this month.

Oh and this will be our best week ever...again.

Way to go guys. Three others sending more than 300K points this week. This is great.

Every little bit counts. And it's not that small a contribution as you imply it is. A PS3 gives roughly a thousand points per day. That's not bad in the long run. I won't spit on it and I'm grateful to whoever gives it to us.

Not everyone is willing to dedicate a bunch of Core i7 machines or +200$ graphic cards to science.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I seem to only be getting the project 6900 units and they're only worth 8,955 points. What's up with this?

I think I figured it out. I had the FAH GPU tracker tool update to a newer version and it seems the option for 'add -advmethods' deselected itself. I deleted the work unit and got a new project 2684. I deleted it again and got another 2684...oh well, maybe I'll make the deadline for this one.

What is the one unit mode? I looked through and don't see anything related to that.

I do Project 6900 units all weeks long and I get more than 65K points every time. They are only worth 8955 points when you don't make the prefered deadline (4 days). But, you should make the prefered deadline, don't you?

BTW, Project 2684 is the worst P.O.S. unit Stanford produced. It takes ~30% more time to complete than all the other big units for absolutely no reason (not any bigger to compute : it's a fu**ing bug). If you can't make a 6900 on time, you certainly can't make a 2684 on time either.

Good news : we reached 6 million points for the month...yesterday. And Sdbardwick passed the million mark. Also, we have a news contributor : detruzor.

Bad news : I won't make 2 million points this month. The unit that would send me over that milestone will finish 3 hours and a half too late. Oh well, it was close.

I'll have to see if it makes it this time. Part of the issue is I've been using my desktop more, so time is taken away from FAH. I tried twice to get a new work unit because I remember you saying how crappy 2684 is...but I got it twice after, so I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do.

This will be the first week I lose since August, mainly because I no longer receive big units on my three systems. Congratulations to SSDrueding.

Now I'll go crying in a dark corner and hope my face won't rust.

Why are you no longer receiving the big units? Are they stopping that? My stupid machine must be too busy to get this 2684 unit done. I'm STILL processing it.

You'll see it by the name of the file in the directory in which you're running the client. The A3 is named FahCore_a3. I assume the A5 will be named FahCore_a5, but I still haven't upgraded.

Mine is also running the A3. I wonder if that's also why I've not been getting any bonus points.

Since I'm using the FAH tracking tool, I had to tell it to re-download the clients and now I have the A5 version. I just started a new 6901 unit. I don't know if this one qualifies for a bonus or not, but that's what I got.

Also, it looks like I got no points for the 2684 unit I spent the past several days processing...bastards. The past half month has been abysmal for my production numbers.

Home 1 is completely offline, as FAH GPU Tracker won't download the new SMP client.

That's strange, I was able to get mine to download the latest. I had to select the option to re-download the client and then I got the A5.

Mine start downloading fine, but before all three can finish it stops and returns an error:

FATAL ERROR: Could not download clients
Check your internet connection, then try Setup -> Download FAH Clients

I'm certain if the stupid program would just wait a few more seconds before erroring out it would be fine.

Got it working again, just had to terminate all the FAH processes and try again.

Has Fushigi finished for the summer?

Edit: Looks like LiamC has stopped as well?

Nope. Was down the coast (about 2.5 hours drive) for my daughters 10th. She wanted surfing lessons :). So just shut everything down before I left. Back up and running last night. You might catch me, but I'm not going to make it that easy :D

Another??? It's not just your customers who are made of money ; you're too. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with you, this is only confirming it. All the best for the team. But even with all your new stuff, I don't think you'll get to me within a year.

Most of this stuff is for clients, but I get to stress test for a while. Also, as it warms, I won't be able to run the stuff at home full-throttle.

Edit: It stays cool quite a bit longer where you live ;)

After days of processing, it doesn't look like I can get the bonus on the 6900 units. I'm getting 8,955 points for 3 days of work. This is disappointing me now. 2/16/2011 was the last time I got any bonus points for crunching packets...grr

I get bonus points, even on an un-overclocked i7 860 with DDR3 1333MHz (although the timings are agressive), for all the big units. This includes Project 6900, 2692, 2685 and also the :cursin: 2684:boom:.

Either you use your computers a lot or you're simply doing it all wrong.

See, the 58360 points unit I've completed at the 6pm update was a Project 2684. My i7 950 did it. It's the computer I uses the most (the one I use to browse e-mails, bill the customers and do general office work at the shop). It's still sitting idle almost all the time though.

What's puzzling me is that you both have been able to complete big units within the prefered deadline in the past, yet you no longer do now. The only difference you have with me is that I'm using the console client while you both use the GPU_Tracker V2.

I'm pretty sure that GPU Tracker V2 uses the console clients in the background anyway. And I've confirmed the update to the A5 client on all my machines. My fastest machine (work) is working on a 6900 right now, and will likely finish well inside of 3 days.
