Here in PA the car must have a minimum of 40 miles on it after a computer reset. The computer keeps track of the resets and millage. It's to keep people from resetting the computer and then going for the emissions test.

Not knowing what JTR1962 had you try, but one thing I would do first is check the capacitors. The tops of the capacitors are usually concave so any that are bulged are bad. Also any that are leaking. You may want to check the heat sinks on all devices, not just the CPU. Make sure they are on...

I was trying to eliminate any new software you might have installed. Or any malware you might have picked up. But if this started 6 months ago and you don't have a backup that old, never mind.

Back in the Windows beta testing days, Search was one of the biggest complaints of the beta testers. MS just ignored us. And Bing is about the same; useless.

You might not have the 'rights' to remove them when using remote desktop.

Seems there are still problems. The motherboard will not recognize anything made by LSI, including rebadged Intel. The boards don't show up in the BIOS. 3Ware and Adaptec are fine.

Have you removed power and removed the battery for a while in the problem boards. The BIOS could be a little wonky from any testing the factory might have done.

Windows 7 issues a TRIM command after deleting files. Intel updated their software to issue the TRIM command to RAID 0 setups, but only on their control chips and and only on certain Intel SSDs.

Maglight has been around for years. I have a few of their standard flashlights. They are all metal and almost indistructable. They are now making LED flashlights.

I have Vidalia load when starting the computer. That connects me to the TOR network. I have been using Epic for a browser. Sometimes it is too restrictive though.
