    Major Appliances

In my experiance, the gas/propane company will install the gas lines. Then they are responsible for all maintenance and leaks. This makes them liable for damages if there is a fire caused by a leak. I beleive induction ranges must have metal cookware, no glass, ceramic, or other non-conduction...

    Best folding setup

I give up...for now. I keep getting fatal errors with SMP. When I did get it to run, it took 48 hours to complete 18% and then crashed. Maybe I'll run the standard for a while. Bozo :joker:

    Major Appliances

Looks great. A relative bought one like that only it had a wall between the fridge halves inside. You could not get to anything on the rear of the shelves without taking everything out in front first. That one looks ideal. Bozo :joker:

    Major Appliances

A couple of notes: Refrigerators with side by side doors are a pain to get things in and out of. Very narrow shelves. They are also have the worst energy ratings. Freezer sections with through the door ice and water take up a lot of space inside the freezer. And they are prone to failing...

    US vs. Japan

What prompted the bias remark was a report in their magazine. They gave a new Honda vehicle top ratings, even reliability in the long term, although the vehicle was a just introduced model. It had only been available for 3 months. In the same magazine they trash an American made vehicle that was...

    US vs. Japan

It's odd that foreign companies can build quality cars in the US and make money, but the Big Three can't. Then the Big Three blame it on labor???? After 40 years of Big Three cars I bought a foreign car. Not because of the so-called better quality, but because of the Big Threes complete lack...

Driver Reinstall When Switching USB Ports

The USB port has to unload the driver when a device is removed. It doesn't know what is going to be installed there next. Hard drive, memory stick, printer? Each would have its own driver. Bozo :joker:

    Having fun with Chrome

Odd Problem with Processor Power Management

Sounds like the low power state is lowering the power to the USB ports too. This coupled with the voltage drop through the cable running from the computer to the monitor could be causing the problem. Posibly a shorter or better quality cable would help. Maybe a BIOS setting to only lower the...

    System build review

I think I would have used a dual core Celeron for $49.99. Remember, the wattage rating is at full load. 98% of the time they are idling. The SSD is overkill. Use a laptop SATA. I believe the power supply that comes with that case is 80% efficiant with Power Factor correction. Don't see what you...

    Which Car?

Numbers Game: my point exactly. If you look at the gas millage rtaings, there is little or no difference between automatics and sticks. The automatics have come a long way in the last 15 years or so. Actually, if the motors had more torgue across a wider RPM range, you wouldn't need all them...

    Which Car?

The Tototas and Hondas we test drove a few months ago were all 4 speed automatic. But you need to remember that they all had electronic transmissions and torgue converters. The torgue converters can be locked and unlocked depending on driving conditions. This effectively gives you an 8 speed...

    Broken Server 2008?
