That might be. But it would take me some time to get used to a performance car that doesn't have the beautiful sounds played by the Ferrari and Porshe. Nonetheless, the speed of that sparky mobile is amazing and undeniable.

Off the top, I'm thinking you might want to look at the following: Motherboard: GA-K8NSC-939 Supports 4 GB memory and has 5 PCI slots. CPU: ADA3800 non-dual core Memory: KVR400X64C3A/1G (2 sticks) Case: Antec SLK3700BQE (inspite of the retarded door; nice cooling and drive setup; pretty quiet)...

    Favorite motherboard with onboard video?

I will definitely put in a vote for the GA-K8VM800M motherboard. Great board, easy to use, stable and reliable. Plug in a SATA drive, change the SATA setting in the BIOS from RAID to IDE, and you're ready to install, no drivers needed. However, as I am not a fan of integrated graphics, I...

Recently I had two failed Gigabyte boards out of the box. One is being used in my personal system with a VT890 chipset, the FDD controller is bad. The other was a nForce4 Gigabyte board, the memory controller was bad and fried two sets of expensive memory. :( Cases: Antec or Apex Power...

    Joules

For a typical surge suppressor, at roughly the quote joule rating, the MOVs burn out, and the over voltage cannot be drained off the line. Thus, the surge now continues forward to the previously protected device.

    Joules

Electrical/electronic question: Surge protectors are rated in Joules. From my understanding, 1 joule = 1 watt/s, so the surge protector could protect from a 1 second 4200 watt (~38 amps (110V)) surge. Is this a correct understanding?
