All that is left of my kitchen. And that will be relocated next week.
That's odd. I didn't have any such issue with any of my runs. They all worked a 1Gb. What's it do if you force it to 1Gb?I do have one cable in one room that will only connect at 100Mb which is annoying. I've cut and terminated it twice. I verified the switch port is good, but may be the keystone, the actual wire, or patch panel are damaged. I guess that's one of the benefits of running numerous cables in case one is bad.
You need a framing nail gun.
Nope. Lucky in that regard. It isn't exactly the same size, as it has dried/shrunk in the last 50 years, but it is dimensional lumber.
I was able to save quite a few studs from the walls I removed; really good wood, and the right fit with the rest still in the house. Problem is that it is very hard; I'm having to pre-drill some of the holes.

- If the nails are driven into the wood, they have to displace all of the fibres and this generates quite high tensions and compressions in the wood in the vicinity of the fastener. The tensions can cause splitting in the timber and larger spacings reduce the chance that the splits will develop.
- Where the timber is a seasoned high density hardwood, the nails might be quite difficult to drive into the wood and the tensions generated may be so large that splitting will almost certainly happen. In these circumstances, it is common to drill a pilot hole first and drive the nail into the pre-bored hole. This reduces the tensions and means that smaller spacings end and edge distances can be used.
With Flashblock on, I see nothing but a gazillion circles with an f in them. Is each f a gazillion dollars worth?

It uses 5-8% on my Q6600 @ 3gHz.
The same as the last job. Engineer for a company selling products to the automotive industry. What kind of work will you be doing?
Hah, I don't think that's gonna happen. I'm sorta burned out on that for a bit anyhow. I want a vacation from the theater.Congrats Stereo, hope they give you enough time to finish the theater
I want a vacation from the theater.
I also included a couple pictures from my networking project. I still have a bunch of work to do with making the wires nice and neat, but it's functional so far. I do have one cable in one room that will only connect at 100Mb which is annoying. I've cut and terminated it twice. So, I accepted a job offer today. Not sure on the start date, but it will be nice to get back to work.
I actually received 3 job offers and got to pick between 'em. They were all a bit different. So at least in my case the job market wasn't totally dead.
I almost forgot, but Santilli's best pal is one year older today.
