Another thing that works great is to hang a LED light from a zipper on the jacket and/or rucksack so it swings back and forth. I agree on the invisible thought, many drivers won't even see you in daylight even if you wear "screaming yellow" colored clothes. Apart from that, a "real" bike jacket...

A picture taken with the phone from Frösön over Oviksfjällen from tonights ride, trying to climb some meters in the Rapha Rising challenge. The road was a bit damp and the temperature about 11 C - but no wind, so it was quite nice.

It's usually the same thing. Better fuel economy=less emissions.

It sounds like a stupid way to reach certain emission levels, why don't they try some good old engineering work instead?

    A hodge-podge of tyres

I have continental premium contact 5 in that exact dimension. They are pretty good allround tires with excellent grip in the wet, but the sidewalls are too soft for my taste, so they kill most of the fun. I would probably go with the Pirelli P7 or something from Nokian if I was shopping for new...

A Roubaix or Tarmac would definitely be nice, Specialized make some beautiful bikes, unfortunately their local dealer is more interested in selling kid bikes than racing bikes so it's pretty difficult to get a test ride. :/ Besides, the Sempre has been on my radar for about a year, so it wasn't...

    Pope Hangs It Up?

All I know is that I would get bored if I lived for 1000 years. The only upside would be that I could have a realistic chance to save money for an Ferrari F40. :) But look at the sharks, they live for 20-30 years, and they have been around for >400 million years. I think the ideal lifespan...

    Pope Hangs It Up?

The problem with that reasoning is that we, just like any other animal on this planet, only exists to reproduce. Our children are smarter than us and their children will be even more intelligent. The upside with living for 1000 years is that we'd have pretty much experience, but we would...

    Pope Hangs It Up?

Most religions should be updated. It's been a while since the Bible and Quran was written and the world has changed a bit in the last 1500-2000 years. I don't think the catholic church is the only place where you find pedophiles, you'll probably find them in situations where they train or work...

It's no problem with the right clothes, the shoes are supposed to work between +5 and -35C, the rest is just a question of adding layers.
  39. F

    Cycling

Yes, but it's not any worse than people who does cross country skiing in that temperature. Besides, -15C here doesn't feel as cold as -15 feels by the coast. The biggest problem is that I don't have a proper winter lube so the chain and gears gets stuck when it gets down to about -20. But that...

One thing that's pretty useless is the Store. I can sort the apps in different ways, but not Alphabetical and I can't write and search like in the start screen... I'm sure Steve Ballmer did this for my own good, but I don't appreciate his kindness very much at the moment.

    Media Center (?) Advice

If your friend decides to go with XBMC and the Synology NAS (or any existing NAS) two out of three hardware components needed to run DLNA are already in place. Media Center (?) Advice

Great advice, I have approximately the same solution at home, minus RAID. DLNA makes it possible to add/remove media servers, control points and renderers in a blink of an eye. Let's say I have a friend who visits that like to play some music on the phone, I just let him/her connect to the...

    Media Center (?) Advice

My mother has been using Win 8 for a week or so now.
