After trying different GIGe solutions, the answer is simply yes. Some cards/integrated solutions manage 200Mb/s, while other manage 800Mb/s. That's why I'm asking this question, I've tried a few of the 200Mb/s ones...:)

What's the best way to check out the MB manufacturer and MB modell and maybe revision from Windows? Any neat program to check this with? For those moments you can't go wondering under the table...

Does anyone have any links to MB reviews that include network performance for the following? Asus A8V, Asus K8N-E.

I was the second person in Finland to make LPIC-2. Don't know how many there are now. The pass/failure rate here had been something like 40-50% failure/test.
