    ADS Spy by Merijn is a small stand-alone executable that scans specifically for Alternate Data Streams. Very fast. No BS attached. Allows manual deleting of ADS-attached files. Works in Windows 7 x64 despite its stated OS compatibility 'Windows NT/2000/XP/2003' http://www.merijn.nu/programs.php

    Well, the East side of 101, anyway. East Palo Alto had the highest murder rate per-capita of the entire United States in 1992. They bussed EPA kids into my Belmont high school back in the 80's when I attended. There were race riots. (The EPA kids had burned their high school to the ground...

    A drill is for boring holes. An impact gun is for loosening/tightening fasteners, especially those requiring high impact torque to break loose. Hammer drills are used for drilling concrete and masonry.

    Makitas are OK, I've used them for years to drive threaded fasteners at work. I've never been very happy with their charge holding capacity. Last night I went through 2 (14.4v) batteries just to take about 150 #10 screws out of three 757 wing access panels and then re-install them later. ***...

    NO! Newegg's policy is: ...which is pretty damned ugly. I gladly paid quite a bit over Newegg's price to a shop that has a "Zero Dead Pixel Guarantee" (at least on monitors under 22", which the 214t is). Unfortunately they no longer carry the 214t and don't carry the 204B either. Linky

    80mm ->92mm convertor + fan == better temps?

    For airline flight-line maintenance, time is of the essence. Parts come ready-to-install with no assembly required, typically. Sometimes hydraulic fittings, brackets, and such must be transferred from the old part to the new one but that is usually about it.

    Overtightened caliper bolts can cause a brake to drag thereby inducing rotor warp. Good grief, another mechanic in the forum! I'm so happy. Nice work Doug. By the way, one of the possible culprits for automobile brake rotor warping is overtightened caliper bolts. You might want to get the torque specs for yours and do a loosen-retorque session on all those bolts with an...

    You Make The Call: Is It Grounded?

    One thing I did do that probably helped: Before I drove the ground-rod, I grinded the last 1.5" of it to a tapered point on an industrial beltsander at the place I worked at back then. That particular house was in Belmont, CA and the ground was soil with a lot of rocks scattered in it.

    I was able buy a 6' copper-sheathed steel ground rod from Home Depot back around 1990. I used it to ground a 5/8-wave 10-meter Ham antenna that was mounted on my chimney.
