Thanks for all the replys! The program is Cimplicity and it is a HMI for PLCs. I real piece of crap. But we are stuck with it as it is installed all over the plant. I have decided to just use removable hard drives with each version on a different drive.

If I read it right, Windows wants to initialize the array, not the RAID controller. If my memory is correct, Windows will not trash the data on the disk, just add it too it's inventory. Because of the changes to the RAID array, Windows thinks it is a new drive.

Are you using a crossover cable between the two computers?

Maybe Internet Connection Sharing is turned on in one or both computers?

When a file or program is opened, is it copied from the hard drive into memory, or is it removed from the hard drive and placed into memory (cut-n-paste)? Or a combination of both?

Right click on My Computer>click on Properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery. Use the drop down list to select the first boot drive.

I found the problem. I needed to install the MS drivers for my MS wireless mouse. This was on the Core 2 Duo computer. :dunno: The P4 computer uses a wired mouse.
