Oh, and Cougtek, you might be tickled to know that a small but growing proportion of the workers on London Underground now refer to unsalvageable things as that which is to be "given to the arm"

    XP repair 'mare

I’m trying to fix my dads xp home installation. When the computer boots up it gets to the logon screen, lets you type in the password, and then hangs. Observation

:D :D Merc, you've made my day. The only way I’ve ever found of getting through writers block is to not look at what I’m typing. Just letting my fingers put whatever words fall through my head into the keyboard without for spelling, sense or structure. I find that if I do that for sixty or...

    The flu sucks :(

I and i are of one mind on this. ( sorry, couldn't resist ) We used to have some of those retracting metal stairs leading into our attic. When I was about six or so I slipped down them backwards taking a strip of skin about two inches wide by ten inches long of my back. That hurt. Outside our...

    Abit AN7 (nFarce 2 Ultra 400) query

The should should read could. Perhaps one might feel that any statement containing the sentiments "review at hexus" and " not fantastic" is somewhat tautological. In which case the however would be redundant, but not inappropriate.

    Athlon64 3000 - who's taking the $215 plunge?

I’d leave the A64 3000 well alone. It fits in a socket 754, whose future can most charitably be described as unclear. So there’s a very real chance that whichever motherboard you’d buy will be incompatible with future CPUs sooner rather than later. On top of which, with PCI express coming out in...

''State Of The Art'' CPU Cooling (Circa Dec 2003)

Yes, either of those are probably overkill, But they’re so shinny . If you go with either of those get a 92mm fan. (they both take them). If want to use an 80mm fan get an SLK800U and some change. And every DC fan is variable speed if you change the voltage it sees. While I’m sure that NRG will...
